OK, Have any of you seen this movie? It's very hard to explain, but basically if you took every conspiracy theory you ever heard (except Area 51/aliens) and put them all in a 2-hour movie, that would be Zeitgeist.

It's all about how our country (and the world) is out to control us, etc, etc. Here's the link:

Please, if you go watch it, and you probably should, leave me a comment or link to your blog about it. I'm really interested to see what people think about it. Aaron heard about it from another friend and decided to watch it yesterday. This morning he talked to me about the movie non-stop for about 3 hours! It really made him think.

I already knew a bunch of the things that they talked about, so it didn't surprise me as much as it did him, so I see why he was so freaked out by it. There is a lot of references to history in the movie- both American history and world history. I am very interested to hear what my history and politics friends have to say about it.

It starts out a little slow, but it picks up steam quickly.

Edit: Here are some follow-up links that a friend gave me. I'm not endorsing any of them, of course read at your own risk (:

Nebraska Caucusing...

The following is a note from a friend of mine who writes for papers here in Nebraska. She's very politically charged, but regardless of your presidential candidate preference, please, PLEASE go caucus on Saturday (if you're a democrat)! We don't want to look like the duds in the middle of the country!

Go visit the link she gives to find out your caucus location.

~Candy

"My esteemed fellow long-suffering Nebraskans,

Except for Husker games (in past seasons) 10,000 Nebraskans don't turn out for anything. But last night in Omaha they did for Barack Obama. Alan & I waited 2.5 hours to hear him speak, and it was well worth it.

The OW-H reported today that 9000 people were in the Omaha Civic Center when the fire department closed the doors because it had reached capacity. 1000 people were then sent to an overflow location where the speech was piped in. Obama stopped in at that location very briefly.

After a 7 years of lunacy, this country has a chance to turn things around. And for once, Nebraska will make a difference.

Barack Obama has convinced me to return to the Democratic Party. This Saturday I am turning in my voter registration form at the caucus in Cedar Bluffs so I can caucus for him. It is imperative that you participate as well. To find your caucus location:

As my friend Jack says, "I'm done leaning. I'm clearly in the Obama camp."

For once the rest of the nation will be listening to what Nebraskans want in a presidential candidate. Let's turn out in record numbers like the rest of the states have to show them we care. This is what we've been waiting for. And it's high time that Nebraskans who still support Bush, or even any Republican, start feeling like they are in the minority!

Even if you prefer Clinton, just plan to caucus on Saturday. We don't want to make national news as the only state that did not double their turnout. Let's BE HEARD.
